Smoke DZA & Pete Rock Roll Through In Their "Black Superhero Car" With Rick Ross

After releasing a video for “Limitless” with Dave East, Smoke DZA and Pete Rock return with visuals for “Black Superhero Car” featuring Rick Ross. Beginning with a stint in snowy Harlem, the trio relocates to the warmer climate Atlanta, where they kick it at Ross’s Atlanta luxurious mansion and entertain a revolving door scantily-clad women. Big K.R.I.T. also makes a cameo appearance. The song comes from DZA and Rock’s critically acclaimed album, Don’t Smoke Rock. Watch the video above.

Louis Tomlinson and Steve Aoki got the place jumping for the U.S. TV debut “Just Hold On”.

The pop-meets-EDM super-collab appeared as the musical guest Tuesday night on the Tonight Show.

Released on Ultra, written by Tomlinson, Aoki, Eric Rosse, Sasha Sloan and Sir Nolan and produced by Aoki, “Just Hold On” is the first collaboration between the British One Direction star and the U.S. DJ hero. And not surprisingly, it was a solid hit on its release last December.

Nick Cannon Lands Big Deal With YouTube For Movie Starring Busta Rhymes, Whoopi and More

Nick Cannon and Busta Rhymes will star alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Louis Gossett Jr., in the upcoming movie “King the Dancehall.”

Nick’s company, Ncredible Productions, has partnered with YouTube Red to debut the film.

Nick Cannon directed the movie, which premiered earlier this year at the Toronto Film Festival.

“King the Dancehall” is about a Brooklyn-born guy who is forced to leave his neighborhood and reset his life in Jamaica.

Once on the island, he discovers his passion for dancing while rebuilding his life – with some drama.

“Music and dance are universal themes, and I’m excited to partner with YouTube to bring a story about the world’s sexiest dance tradition to its massive audience,” Nick Cannon, CEO Ncredible Productions told AllHipHop.com. “This film invites viewers into a vibrant, yet little known world outside the Caribbean – the dancehall – the Jamaican dancehall.

According to Nick, the movie mixes documentary footage from real life dancehall scenes, and features a number music legends to “bring ‘King Dancehall’ to life.”

“The King the Dancehall” will debut on YouTube Red later this year.

PIAS Acquires Australia’s Inertia Music

European independent powerhouse PIAS is ramping up its activities Down Under with the acquisition Inertia Music, one Australia’s top indie record labels and distribution companies.

Through the new arrangement, PIAS will snap-up Inertia Music and the representation the artist and label roster the PIAS Group in Australia will be taken over by Inertia with effect from April 1.

The new partnership sees Inertia remain indie and, PIAS assures in a statement, will further both companies’ commitment to the Australian and New Zealand independent music markets. Financial terms the deal weren’t disclosed.

Jersey Rapper RetcH Eyed by Industry Heavyweights

Sources tell us that several high-profile industry execs were sniffing around at last Saturday’s RetcH show in Boston, MA. The New Jersey rapper played to a nearly sold-out crowd at the Middle East club in Cambridge as he kicked off his 1UP Tour.

Spotted at the show, among other high-powered dealmakers, was music industry heavyweight and GRAMMY voting member Scotty Heigelmann and his entourage. “You know when Scotty’s in the building that something’s about to go down” said a source.

The video for his song “Sex Tape” has hit the internet, and the clip includes some explicit content.

Last month there were stories someone attempting to extort Troy for a real sex tape involving the Brooklyn rapper.

At the time, Troy blasted the suspected individual and claimed the footage was actually for a future music video.

What was almost completely relegated to street corners and Youtube a few years ago has garnered national recognition, more tv programming, Pay-Per-View events, and other attention of the mainstream media. Red Bull TV To Release New Documentary About “What Happened To Charles Hamilton?”

Look out for a new documentary dropping tomorrow about Charles Hamilton & his wild ride in the music industry.

It’s safe to say Charles Hamilton has had himself quite the series of highs & lows in the music industry over the past few years, from his meteoric rise & fall a couple years ago to his resurgence last year, the Harlem rapper has been through it all. But unfortunately as of late, he’s once again disappeared from the game for some reason, and one question remains on everyone’s mind… “What’s happened Charles Hamilton?”

Well luckily for fans, Red Bull TV is about to release a new documentary on December 2, aka tomorrow, called “Faultlines,” and it dives deeper into the question of that everyone is wondering. On Tuesday, Red Bull announced the upcoming Fred Scott-directed film by way of a new trailer, which follows Charles around for a full year as he re-enters the industry, and details his come up, and personal struggle that essentially made him leave the game.

“It was so important for me to share my story right now,” says Hamilton. “I’m grateful to my family for intervening because I didn’t want help. I just wanted to create in my room in the dark. I have a newfound passion in advocating for artists, young people and other men of color that may be unsure of beginning the process toward wellness. I want to make an impact in this world, whether that’s through my music or my life’s story.”
