Rick Ross Announces “Rather You Than Me” Album For Early 2017

Rick Ross’ ninth album, “Rather You Than Me,” is set to arrive in early 2017.

Rick Ross was among the hip-hop royalty present at tonight’s American Music Awards. He entered the red carpet donning a black sweatshirt that read, “RATHER YOU THAN ME,” which he soon revealed to be the title of his next album, the follow-up to Black Market, released almost a year ago. During the award show, Ross would join DJ Khaled, Nicki Minaj, Future, and August Alsina for a performance of “Do You Mind,” their collaborative single off Khaled’s Major Key album.

Also during the show, Rozay would go on to announce his new album on his social media pages. In a video clip posted to Twitter, he revealed that he plans to release Rather You Than Me in early 2017. He also warned his fans, “There will be bloodshed.” In that clip plays his newly released track “Kyrie.” The album will also likely include his new single, “Buy Back the Block,” featuring 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane.

Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith Blames Ab-Soul For Delaying His Own Album

The TDE CEO revealed that Ab-Soul is the one holding up his own album. He also hit Soulo and MixedByAli with a strict deadline for turning in the final mixes.

Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith is tired of taking the blame for the delay of Ab-Soul’s next album, DWTW. Soulo hasn’t dropped an album since These Days…, released in June 2014. Early this year, he expressed his frustration about his place within TDE, tweeting, “This bench is gettin warm as fucc.” In August, Tiffith announced that he had received the final mixes for Soulo’s next album and said a release date would be coming soon. A release date has not yet surfaced, and apparently Tiffith was not satisfied with the aforementioned mixes.

Soulo’s fans are frustrated that DWTW is still nowhere to be seen, and they seem to be pestering the TDE boss about the album on social media. As of last night, though, Tiffith has officially placed responsibility for the album’s absence on the shoulders of Soulo himself as well TDE’s esteemed resident engineer, MixedByAli.

Responding to an impatient fan, Tiffith said that both Soulo and Ali are responsible for “holding this album up.” “I’m done takin the blame,” he fumed. “They need 2 get da mixes right.. that’s the hold up. Get at them.”

madeintyo 2 chainz

Fresh off the Mad Max-inspired music video for “Uber Everywhere” with Travis Scott, Madeintyo enlists 2 Chainz for the “I Want (Remix).”

What exactly does Madeintyo want? Here’s a sample: a Gucci hat, a ratchet lil’ baby, a brand new whip, and a brand new house. Meanwhile, Tity Boi wants some of those same things. Plus, adds, that he’ll “throw Lil Wayne right at you.”

Madeintyo is definitely excited about the collaboration. “I’m blessed,” he told The FADER. “2 Chainz rocked with me from the beginning and he understands my vision. Truuuuuu.”

The remix comes more than a year after the original version of “I Want.” Back in June 2015, a video for that iteration was released.

Top 5 Emerging Artists from LA

LA is probably the most famous hotspot for big and small talents. Young artists with big dreams keep constantly moving there in search for a producer or the “Big Guy” to discover their talent and live their Cinderella story. While it is an option for some starting artists, there are many who don’t just sit and wait for their musical prince to realize their dream.

The internet has crushed the music industry: with platforms such as Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Datpiff and many more, it has given the opportunity to the rising artists to shine and share their music without a major record company.
