Recent today shared the latest single f his , Feel Infinite. “To Say” finds the Canadian producer exploring a tender house-leaning sound, assembled from a swirling blend soulful vocal samples and a delicately ascending melody.

In a about Feel Infinite, Greene said that he “really tries] to make music that connects people and speaks to the things that bring us together,” and the listener can really hear that his approach is grounded in vulnerability and empathy on “To Say.” The same thing goes for his last single, but that one’s geared a little bit more towards peak-time extroversion.

Feel Infinite will be released by LuckyMe on March 10, and is available for .

Soliterre ‘Double Life’

Vancouver multi-instrumentalist and producer Adam Wazonek has been making music under the moniker Soliterre these days, and to help you know him a bit better, we now have his new single up and streaming.
 
“Double Life” is the title track f Soliterre’s forthcoming debut album, which is expected out later this year.
 
“It’s the story desire and the duality a dancer who can’t help living in a double life,” Wazonek said in a statement.
 
That tale is brought to life with shimmery synths, infectious riffs and melodic, falsetto-backed vocals, that swirl together in a sonic mix that makes it difficult not to move along.

Ennio Morricone’s Deluxe Vinyl Reissue of ‘The Thing’ Detailed

Following months teasing, Waxwork Records has revealed all the details behind its deluxe vinyl reissue Ennio Morricone’s much-loved soundtrack to John Carpenter’s The Thing. And the label has definitely pulled out all the stops for this one.

The release will arrive on February 24, and pre-orders are now live over here. As expected, the vinyl reissue arrives as a few different variants, all which feature Morricone’s score remastered from the original master tapes on 180-gram vinyl. (Sorry, John Carpenter and Alan Howarth’s tracks are not included.)

Featuring artwork by Justin Erickson  Phantom City Creative, the standard “Snow” edition features the album on “snow” vinyl (a.k.a. “true white), with a “satin-coated old-style gatefold jacket with UV spot-gloss” and a 11″ x 22″ poster.

And if you want to get extra fancy — and drop a whole lot cash — there’s the “Trapped in the Ice” edition, which features a “heavyweight, hand-assembled, high-gloss, breakaway “Ice” slipcase,” the album on 180-gram “ice” vinyl (a.k.a. “deep blue with white haze”), the same gatefold jacket packaging, a 11″ x 22″ poster and a booklet featuring an exclusive interview with John Carpenter.

Tom Petty, Steve Miller headline 13th Annual Mountain Jam Fest – The Music Universe

The 13th Annual Mountain Jam Music Festival unveiled the first headliners for its 2017 lineup – Rock and Roll Hall Famers Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and the Steve Miller Band. Also on the bill are: Peter Frampton, Gary Clark Jr., Michael Franti & Spearhead, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, The Strumbellas, Shovels & Rope, The Revivalists, The Infamous Stringdusters, White Denim, Elephant Revival, Lukas Nelson & Promise the Real, and River Whyless. Additional artists to be announced early next year.

Atlanta-based beat crafter STLNDRMS has an MPC that needs its own passport.

Born in Detroit, STLNDRMS and his beat machine have traveled all over the world, collecting stories and sounds that the presents to a loyal fanbase weekly on Facebook Live. He treats viewers to a live show where he creates beats on the spot using samples from his vast record collection.

After doing that for some months, he’s finally ready to break away from his home studio and put out some product in the form his Blue Street EP. Citing DJ Premier  and trap music as his influences, STLNDRMS is crafting his own unique lane.

This Is Spinal Tap members reunite to “go up to 11” with $400m lawsuit

The mock-rock band hope that strength in numbers could boost the claim up to as much as $400m.

The cast and creators This Is Spinal Tap are reuniting for a lawsuit over missing prits from the mock-rockumentary. Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and director Rob Reiner have joined Harry Shearer in a fight with media firm Vivendi which they’ve vowed to “go up to 11.”

As the Guardian reports, the complaint alleges that Vivendi manipulated accounting data, having reported that the total income from soundtrack music sales was just $98 for the years 1989 and 2006, alongside other dubious claims.

2017 Prism Prize Announces Top 20 Finalists

There’s more at stake than ever before when it comes to this year’s Prism Prize winnings, and the 20 finalists for the title best Canadian music video the year have just been announced.

The champion is selected by a jury that votes on the videos based on originality, creativity, style, innovation and effective execution. As previously reported, the winner this year’s prize will be gifted $15,000. The prize will be handed out during a screening and awards ceremony on May 14 at the Tiff Bell Lightbox in Toronto.

The KLF announce 2023: A Trilogy book, set for release in August

The book is a “utopian costume drama, set in the near future, written in the recent past.”

The KLF have fered more details on their impending return, announcing the release  a book called 2023: A Trilogy, set for publication on Faber & Faber on August 23.

Faber & Faber hasn’t released much in the way concrete information about the book, but it’s described as “a trilogy by The Justified Ancients Mu Mu,” one Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty’s many aliases.

Down through the epochs and out across the continents, generation upon generation the Justified Ancients Mu Mu have told variants the same story – an end days story, a final chapter story,” reads a press release.

“But with one hope, even if the hope at times seems forlorn. The story contained in this trilogy is the latest telling. Here it is presented as a utopian costume drama, set in the near future, written in the recent past.”
