Sean Kingston Reportedly Being Sued For Failure To Pay For A Rolex

Sean Kingston bounced a check when paying for his Rolex, leaving a balance of over 20K still to be paid.

According to TMZ, Sean Kingston is the latest victim in a new lawsuit that claims he’s failed to pay for a $46K Rolex that he purchased back in 2013.

The jeweler, Norman Silverman Diamonds, says Sean paid $10k upfront and sent a check for $36k a few days later to have the Rolex shipped to one of his business associates in June 2013. After the watch was mailed however, the jeweler says the check had bounced & did not clear.

According to some documents that TMZ obtained, the jeweler was able to collect $15k more from Kingston in September 2013, but has gone MIA ever since, leaving an unpaid balance of $21,353 to this day.

It’s been four years, and Silverman wants the rapper to pay up now and throw in a little extra bread for his damages and lawyer fees.

Kendrick Lamar Announces Release Date For New Album

Kendrick Lamar’s 4th studio album drops in 7 days.

A couple weeks ago, Kendrick Lamar came out of nowhere & released a new track called “The Heart Pt. 4” which saw him hinting at a possible release date of some sorts with the closing line…“Y’all got ‘til April the 7th to get y’all shit together.” While many fans expected to receive a new album today, especially after hearing a second single last week called “Humble,” it turns out K Dot’s was only promoting its release date, which he just announced will be April 14.

At midnight, Kendrick went ahead & made the untitled “ALBUM” available for pre-order on iTunes, ultimately revealing the number tracks in the process… 14. Unfortunately, no other single or info was released at this time, but we do see that “Humble” will be the lone record on the album thus far.

For what it’s worth, the album cover is just pure black at the moment as well, which could be Kendrick holding off from revealing it for the time being. Either way people, we’re just 7 DAYS away from Kendrick’s next album.

Pre-order the ALBUM now on iTunes, and stay tuned for further updates moving forward.

Uncle Murda – LA Leakers Freestyle

“Murda on the West so they ain’t gon feel him, tryna get Suge bailed out so I can kill him”

Uncle Murda, who recently inked a deal with G-Unit, wastes no time getting to the quotables in a new in-studio freestyle for the LA Leakers over Jay Z’s “So Ghetto” and Future’s “Mask Off” instrumentals. Watch above and continue below for his interview where he talks about the new deal with 50.

Paul White ft. Danny Brown – Accelerator

As you may have heard, UK producer and frequent Danny Brown collaborator Paul White is dropping a new EP this coming Friday called Accelerator. As far as I can tell, the EP is only two songs (and two instrumentals) deep and Danny appears on both, but he has resisted people’s urge to call it a “new Danny Brown EP”, insisting that it’s Paul’s project which he just showed up to support. Whatever you want to call it, it’s two new Danny Brown and Paul White tracks and the title song is out today the insane video you see above. The clip stars actor Ewen MacIntosh chasing brain around London (literally, get your mind out the gutter).

Harry Styles’s new album ‘sounds like Bowie and Queen’

We were already ridiculously excited about One Directioner Harry Styles embarking on his solo career, but now we find out that his new album reportedly sounds like a mix David Bowie and Queen.

According to the industry website HITS Daily Double, the album will be channelling the best ’70s rock.

“In marked contrast to One Direction’s production by committee,” they wrote, “Styles has crafted a set that recalls the regal high-water mark ’70s British rock, Bowie and Queen in particular.

“The lead single, which could come out as soon as late April or early May, sounds like it would be a smash in any decade.”

They also revealed that taking up the producer’s chair is Jeff Bhasker, who has previously worked with artists including the Rolling Stones. No wonder there’s a dominant rock vibe on his new tracks.

Styles has signed to Columbia Records to unveil his debut solo music, and the label’s CEO Rob Stringer has publicly expressed his enthusiasm for the young star, saying: “We’re close and we’re very excited. We have a record we’re incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready.

“We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he’s here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision someone who’s authentic.”

(Johnny McDaid and partner Courtney Cox)

The co-writer on Styles’s upcoming album, Johnny McDaid, announced last year that it’s set to “blow the socks f the world”.

You’ll most likely know McDaid as a member Snow Patrol but he is also a successful songwriter and producer, having collaborated with the likes Example, Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Birdy and Biffy Clyro. So we’re expecting big stuff.

In an interview with PA, McDaid said he’d been working with Styles “for years”, adding: “I think the world is going to be really shocked at what he comes up with.”

The move away from pop is one that may be surprising to loyal 1D fans, but one that is in keeping with his rock ‘n’ roll vibe. Who said change wasn’t good?

Is Taylor Swift Starting Her Own Streaming Service?

We’re still not entirely sure when Taylor Swift’s next album is coming, but it looks like it might not be arriving through any already existing digital platforms. The pop star has apparently filed documents to brand a new website “featuring non-downloadable multi-media content in the nature audio recordings.”

As TMZ points out, that pretty much sounds like her very own streaming service. TMZ also reports that the website is eyeing the unfortunate name Swifties.

In addition to hosting “non-downloadable multi-media content in the nature audio recordings,” Swifties will also fer a intrument and accessory line that includes guitars, picks, straps and drumsticks. To put those products to good use, it will reportedly also organize retreats, educational camps and self-guided online courses.

Swift has had a famously rocky relationship with streaming services in the past, pulling her catalogue from Spotify in 2014. In 2015, she also publicly condemned Apple Music for their lack payouts to artists during the streaming service’s 3-month trial period — prompting a policy change that not only resulted in Swift’s return to Apple Music, but earned the singer an Apple-exclusive tour doc and a commercial campaign for the company last year.

Her last album was 2014’s 1989, which she followed up with the Fifty Shades Darker Zayn collaboration “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.”
