Eminem just confirmed that Shady 2.0 group Slaughterhouse will be a part of Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam.
Eminem recently buzzed into the New York hip-hop radio station to announce earlier this morning (May 24) that his group Slaughterhouse among the ranks of Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and 2 Chainz at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on June 3.
This will marks the first time that Slaughterhouse performs at the event and their leader gave them a few extra pointers for the occasion.
This is what the master lyricist had to say “Just be themselves,” Eminem told Hot 97. “I really feel like this group — hip-hop needs this, man, and I think people will see when this album comes out too.”
As for Em well it doesn’t look like he’ll make a guest appearance as he is currently in the studio. “Right now, I’m finishing up everything on the Slaughterhouse album and kinda getting into my next record a little bit,” he shared.
Em did not elaborate any further on what to expect from his upcoming seventh studio album, but he did mention that he is “starting to toy” with the LP.
June is the foretold date for Slaughterhouse’s debut album, Welcome to: Our House.
In other recent news the Slaughterhouse powerhouse spoke with MTV in regards to the album and where it’s at right now.
“The album is done,” Royce da 5’9″ said.
“My Life” video. “In terms of vocal recording, we’re done. Marshall is still in the process of mixing; we still got a couple of records that we’re missing. We’re on pace for June. Worst-case scenario, we’re looking at July, but it’s definitely coming — 100 percent.”
All I can say is that the hip-hop scene better hold on to their wigs because this group ain’t playing around and by the sound of things they aren’t looking to take any prisoners in the rap game!
