After hearing his name mentioned on Shia LaBeouf’s new freestyle, Soulja Boy warns the actor not to step foot in ATL.
Soulja Boy has stern words for Shia LaBeouf upon hearing his name mentioned in a new freestyle from the 30-year-old actor that was premiered by Charlamagne Tha God. Most of the freestyle was directed at HOT 97 host Peter Rosenberg and Lil Yachty, the latter whom has already laughed off the extensive insults rapped about him, telling LaBeouf to “stick to acting” and confirming to reporters that he won’t be participating in any beef. Soulja has also told LaBeouf to stick to acting, though he’s clearly more incensed than Yachty, whom he happened to engage in bizarre conflict in October.
“Not a Nautica boy, I own myself / This whole thing’s a bit absurd but on my word / Is Boat about to get this work / You spit that dirt,” raps LeBeouf on the freestyle in question. “Him and Soulja on that shout out shit / This is not, this a murder, this is tragedy man / He’s like Lil Romeo meets Raggedy Ann.” Soulja played a clip of himself listening to the freestyle on Instagram, and he addresses the camera the moment after hearing the lyric about himself and Yachty’s recent “shout out” beef.
The mostly Internet-confined feud between Yachty and Soulja, a former idol of his, began when he asked the “Pretty Boy Swag” rapper to remove a pic of model India Love from his Instagram. After a heated back-and-forth (mostly on his end), Soulja eventually tried to quell the beef by suggesting that his rage was due to being on the road without any drugs.
In an attempt to speak directly to LaBeouf, Soulja rants, “You a bitch ass nigga, you can’t never come to Atlanta, you can’t never come to the streets in the hood.” He continues to speak more threateningly: “Nigga, fuck you talking about keep my name out your mouth, you don’t want no beef, on my mama, you better stick to acting nigga ’cause this shit get real.”
From the two freestyles with which he’s entered the game (first as part of Sway’s “Five Fingers of Death” series), LaBeouf has shown himself to be a fearless lyricist. How he carries himself in the streets, on the other hand, is unclear. I suppose we’ll find out should he set foot in Atlanta. In the meantime, we’ll be patiently awaiting to see who he comes for on his next rap attack.
